Guarentees

The product guarantee covers all work carried out by Adeva Home Improvements Limited and guarantees the following for a period of 10 years:

• All uPVC frames supplied and installed by ADEVA Home Improvements Limited in either white or foiled finish.
• All aluminium frames supplied and installed by ADEVA Home Improvements Limited and finished to any standard RAL colour.
• All Timber frames supplied and installed by ADEVA Home Improvements Limited and finished to any standard RAL colour or stain.

The following is guaranteed for a period of 5 years:

• Any hermetically sealed glass unit which develops a fault (including condensation between the glasses of the sealed unit) or due to defective materials or construction.
The glass used may have minor imperfections as AHI cannot supply glass to a higher standard than the manufacturers can provide. The glass in sealed units will comply to the Visual Quality Standards of the GGF.

The following is guaranteed for a period of 1 year:

• Door handles / window handles.
• All gearing & locking systems
• Friction stays.
• Hinges.
• Letterboxes.
• Black gaskets.
• External georgian bars.

All moving parts of the ironmongery and fittings must be lubricated with a light oil every six months by the homeowner, resident or their agents. It is a condition of this guarantee that in the event of the aforementioned maintenance not being carried out then AHI Ltd. reserve the right to make a service charge for the fitter’s time and travelling costs in attending to identify the fault and carry out any replacement.

Conditions

There are certain conditions under which this guarantee would not be applicable:

• Defects that arise from fair wear and tear or from wilful damage. Accidental damage.
• Misuse, alteration or repair of products without the approval in writing from AHI Ltd.
• Discolouration of the surface finish of hardware.
• Minor imperfections in the glass or the incidence, prevention or elimination of condensation (except to that between the glass ‘skins’ of a sealed unit).

By ensuring that the products are maintained and cleaned regularly by the homeowner/end user they will help to retain their appearance and functionally. Alternative parts may need to be supplied where replacement parts are required but no longer available.

This guarantee is effective from the date of Practical Completion as shown above.

The Company will only honour the conditions of the guarantee once full payment has been received.
